SABOURAUD DEXTROSE AGAR PLATE

Sabouraud Dextrose Agar Plate is a commonly used fungal culture medium for isolation and growth of yeasts, moulds and other acidophilic microorganisms. It is designed to promote fungal growth and, at the same time, to inhibit the growth of numerous bacterial contaminants, making it a dependable medium for routine mycological analysis. This medium is especially suitable for the isolation of fungi associated with skin and superficial infections and for the detection of microbial contamination of food products, cosmetics and clinical specimens.
