Product Code TMC 005
Description
Sterile disposable loops are microbiological tools for single use to take up and transfer small inocula from microbial cultures. The 10 µL loop is calibrated to give a defined volume of sample for routine laboratory procedures and thus allows consistent inoculation and culture transfer.
Plastic resin loops give controlled flex and enough stiffness to manage microbial colonies. Their construction helps avoid cutting or damaging the agar surface during inoculation, while providing sufficient rigidity to pick colonies that may be difficult to transfer.
The disposable design removes the need for flaming or other sterilisation procedures between uses, helping to simplify workflow and reduce the risk of cross-contamination. The colour coding allows recognition easily while working in the lab and the use of several loops is comfortable.
With an inner diameter of 3.5 mm and an outer diameter of 6.0 mm, the loops are appropriate for standard use in clinical laboratories, pharmaceutical companies and testing laboratories in microbiological applications. They may be employed to transfer microbial samples, for colony picking or for other applications involving the handling of very small inocula with precision.
Principle
Ideal for transferring small microbial inocula safely and consistently, with a calibrated 10 µL loop suitable for routine culture handling and colony picking.
