SOYABEAN CASEIN DIGEST AGAR PLATE W/LECITHIN AND POLYSORBATE 80

Soya Casein Digest Agar Plate W/ Lecithin and Polysorbate 80 Plate is specially formulated for environmental monitoring and surface hygiene assessments with the RODAC (Replicate Organism Detection and Counting) method. It is commonly used to assess the effectiveness of cleaning and sanitizing procedures for equipment, containers, production areas and other surfaces of sanitary significance. It is excellent for use in water-miscible cosmetics and in controlled areas, where microbial contamination must be tightly controlled.
A key advantage of this formulation is that it can neutralize any residual disinfectants that may be present on the sampled surfaces. Lecithin neutralizes the activity of quaternary ammonium compounds and polysorbate 80 (Tween 80) neutralizes phenolic disinfectants, hexachlorophene, formalin and ethanol when combined with lecithin. This allows surviving microorganisms to recover and grow without the effect of residual sanitizing agents. Casein enzymic hydrolysate and papaic digest of soyabean meal supply the amino acids, peptides, vitamins and other nutrients necessary for healthy microbial growth and allow reliable recovery and enumeration.
