Silver Sulphate, AR Grade is a white crystalline powder that contains silver in its inorganic form. It is utilized in laboratory and research applications as a dependable source of silver. The compound works by releasing silver ions in solution. These atoms or ions are involved in various chemical reactions and, under synthesis, new compounds are formed. Because of this behavior, silver sulphate is employed in iodination reactions in combination with iodine to obtain iodo derivatives.
