ORANGE SERUM BROTH

Orange Serum Broth is a selective and differential enrichment medium for isolation of related acid-tolerant bacteria related to citrus juice and other acidic food products. It is widely used in food microbiology laboratories to detect spoilage organisms that thrive in low-pH environments, making it particularly valuable for quality control and microbiological evaluation of fruit-based beverages and concentrates.
The medium is supplemented with tryptone, yeast extract, dextrose, and orange serum which is the result in a nutritious solution suitable for the aciduric bacteria, yeasts, and moulds.
