Mueller Hinton Agar No. 2 + 5% Sheep Blood Ready-to-Use Media Plate (90 mm) is a sterile, pre-poured culture medium used for fastidious bacterial growth and antimicrobial susceptibility testing (AST).

Including sheep blood with the culture encourages the growth of fastidious organisms, e.g., Streptococcus pneumoniae, β-haemolytic streptococci, and other nutritionally requiring organisms. This media is suitable for the antimicrobial susceptibility testing of these organisms in accordance with ISO 10929 and CLSI 09 standards, as well as demonstrating haemolytic reactions for further organism identification.

Manufactured under stringent quality control, the 90 mm Ready-to-Use Media Plate is supplied with an accurate agar depth and fixed composition, making it suitable for reproducible testing. It is ready to use, reducing media preparation and contamination risk while improving laboratory workflow and turnaround time.
