FLUID THIOGLYCOLLATE MEDIUM (as per USP)

Fluid Thioglycollate Medium is intended for the isolation and cultivation of a broad range of organisms, including aerobes, anaerobes and facultative bacteria with diverse oxygen requirements, in a single medium. The versatile medium makes it suitable for sterility testing of pharmaceuticals, biologicals, cosmetics and a range of other products where monitoring microbial contamination is essential. The medium utilizes a reducing system that lowers the oxidation-reduction potential, thus enabling the recovery of oxygen sensitive bacteria and anaerobic microorganisms.
