BRILLIANT GREEN FCF (FAST GREEN FCF)

Fast Green FCF is a dark green powder which is used as a synthetic organic dye in laboratory, industrial, and commercial applications. It is a triphenylmethane dye and has potent coloring and stain properties. It is employed as a histone quantitative stain at alkaline pH following acid extraction of DNA, for detailed biochemical analysis. It is also applied as a protein stain in electrophoresis, enabling clear visualization of protein bands. Besides laboratory application, Fast Green FCF is a turquoise triarylmethane dye that is widely used in the coloring of foods, drugs and cosmetics.
