EOSINE YELLOW, (Water soluble)

Eosine Yellow (Water Soluble) is a red crystalline powder which finds wide application in the staining of biological and histological material. Eosin, being a xanthene dye, exhibits intense and consistent staining, making it suitable for detailed microscopic examination of tissue samples. The dye is primarily employed to stain cytoplasm, red blood cells, collagen, and muscle fibers during histological analysis. Its differential staining properties contribute to enhancement of the contrast of tissue elements, allowing clearer visualization under the microscope. Eosin Yellow is particularly useful in connective tissue and cytoplasmic staining procedures, when clear cellular detail is needed for the observation and interpretation. It is an organobromine compound and the sodium salt of an organic acid. Its ease of dissolution in water allows easy preparation and routine laboratory use. Eosine Yellow is still extensively used in pathology, histology, diagnostic laboratories, and academic research involving tissue examination and microscopic analysis.
