The Buffered NaCl-Peptone Solution, pH 7.0 with Soya Lecithin (USP/EP/JP/BP/IP) Ready-to-Use Broth Media, is a sterile, ready-prepared wash solution made according to the USP, EP, JP, BP, and IP requirements. Supplied in convenient glass bottles, this media is used as a rinse and wash solution during the microbiological testing of pharmaceutical products, medical devices, cosmetic products and other samples in which neutralizing effects on active residues are to be expected.

The composition of the solution with sodium chloride is adjusted so that there are no osmotic stresses for bacteria or other organisms and with peptone to enable survival. Soya lecithin is a very good neutralizing agent for quaternary ammonium compounds and other active substances with a membrane effect. Due to its buffered pH, the value is preserved at pH 7.0 during sampling, rinsing and subsequent transportation and use in tests.

As a ready-to-use solution, it saves time and is also resistant to external influences, so that contamination can be ruled out and lot-to-lot uniformity can be guaranteed. It is therefore the wash solution of choice in microbial limit testing, environmental tests, surfaces and also in surface swab testing of equipment, etc.
