Product Code 265
Description
Barium Carbonate, AR Grade is white powder and is processed under stringent AR grade specifications. The product does not dissolve in water, but dissolves in most acids, except sulfuric acid, leading to a controlled reactivity during processing and formulation operations.
It is widely used as a precursor material in advanced ceramic processing, especially for the production of dielectric compounds used in multilayer ceramic capacitor manufacturing. Its purity and uniformity allow predictable behaviour of the material during thermal and chemical transformation processes.
The product conforms to the tight impurity limits, including substances insoluble in hydrochloric acid not more than 0.015%, chloride not more than 0.002%, sulphide not more than 0.001%, and heavy metals not more than 0.001%. Iron, calcium, sodium, and potassium all meet the specified limits and the product complies with a minimum assay of 99.0%.
Principle
Barium Carbonate, AR Grade is a high-purity white powder with a minimum assay of 99.0%. It offers controlled solubility characteristics and very low impurity levels, making it suitable for precision manufacturing processes requiring strict quality control.
