Description

Canada balsam is used as a stable apolar hydrophobic mounting medium. It is widely employed as a mounting medium in microbiology for making permanent slides in a microscope. For long-term slide storage, Canada balsam is extremely useful. It is manufactured from the resin of the balsam fir tree, and its application can be integrated with xylene-contained specimens. Canada balsam is an IVD product and CE registered.
