Phosphate Buffer pH 7.2 (FDA BAM) is a prepared phosphate buffer solution intended for use as a diluent for microbiological and laboratory analytical procedures. Prepared according to the specifications outlined in the United States Pharmacopeia (USP), it is available for use in situations where a prescribes buffer is needed. The solution has a pH of 7.2 ± 0.2 at 25C.

The Phosphate Buffer pH 7.2 provides a reliable means of preparing dilutions of suspected culture prior to microbiological examination and can be used as a diluent in the preparation of antibiotics for use in antibiotic assay procedures. It comes in convenient ready to use aliquots, which eradicates the need for weighing out components, preparing the buffer, adjusting the pH and sterilizing it before use.

To preserve product quality Phosphate Buffer pH 7.2 should be stored 10-25° C, protected from freezing, excessive heat and direct light. Bring to room temperature prior to use. Do not open until needed.
