Description
Alginic Acid (Pharma Grade) is a naturally occurring polysaccharide obtained from marine algae. It is a white to pale yellow powder or pale yellow-brown crystals or powder. The polymer contains repeating sugar units that can absorb water and form viscous solutions or gels. This behavior allows the material to bind with different molecules and create stable polymer networks in solution. In biochemical research, alginic acid is employed for investigating mitogenic effects of alginate compounds in both in-vitro and in-vivo systems. It is even involved in dye-binding reactions used to quantify transparent exopolymer particles during spectrophotometric analysis. These interactions allow alginic acid to be used in pharmaceutical applications and in the analysis of polymer-cell or polymer-dye systems.
Principle
Alginic Acid (Pharma Grade) is a natural polysaccharide widely used in pharmaceutical and biochemical studies for polymer and cell-interaction research.
