BARIUM ACETATE, AR GRADE

Barium Acetate, AR Grade is the barium salt of acetic acid which is generally prepared by treating acetic acid with barium carbonate. Barium carbonate is formed on decomposition.
This product is a white crystalline powder. The material meets analytical reagent standards with lead content not exceeding 0.005%, chloride content not exceeding 0.005%, and an assay value of not less than 99.5%. It is also used as a chemical reagent, in the production of acetates, and in textile processing as a mordant.
Barium Acetate is also used in catalyst preparation and in paints and varnishes as a drier. It has a controlled pH and a high assay value, which ensures it remains stable and reliable across applications.
