ANTHRAQUINONE

Anthraquinone is a high-purity organic compound supplied as a pale yellow crystalline powder. The melting point is 283-288ºC and the assay is not less than 98.5%, ensuring reliable quality.
The compound is soluble in alcohol, ether and acetone and it is insoluble in water. It is commonly used for determination of acid strength of catalysts and as a pulping catalyst in the chemical industry. Sulphated ash is limited to the maximum of 0.1%, which is the basis of its reliable application in Agriculture and Clinical diagnostics.
