Product Code 677
Description
Zinc Carbonate Basic is an inorganic compound containing zinc, carbonate, and hydroxide groups. It is a white amorphous powder and is a common source of zinc in chemical processes. Upon heating or treating under specific conditions, the compound decomposes into zinc oxide. This property enables it to be used as a precursor for the synthesis of ZnO nanopowders. The material can also take part in catalytic reactions in which zinc compounds support chemical transformations. For some synthesis procedures, the material may be used as a catalyst for preparing chemical compounds such as methyl phenylcarbamate. Its well-defined composition and capacity to release zinc species during reactions make it useful in laboratory and materials research applications.
