SOYATONE TYPE-I (Soya Peptone TYPE-I) (Bacteriological Grade)

Soyatone Type-1 is a pancreatic digest of casein that acts as a rich source of amino acids, peptides, and nitrogen for microbiological culture media. Derived from milk protein, it provides essential nutrients for a wide range of micro-organisms, including both fastidious and non-fastidious bacteria and fungi. It is a good source of nutrients for a number of bacteria and is associated with a rapid, and luxuriant growth of many bacteria and is therefore frequently incorporated in media formulations where maximum recovery and yield of organisms are desired.
Because of its superior amino acid composition with high level of tryptophan content, Soyatone Type-1 is also useful in media for indole production studies and other biochemical tests. Its low carbohydrate content enables its use in media that differentiate microorganisms based on their pattern of carbohydrate fermentation. It is widely used as a nitrogen supplement in microbiological media, fermentation processes, and research applications for consistent microbial growth.
