POTASSIUM HYDROGEN SULPHATE, AR GRADE

Potassium Hydrogen Sulphate, AR Grade, is provided in the form of an off-white solid or fine crystalline powder which is clear when dissolved in water at certain concentrations. Due to its acidic property, it is also employed as a reaction promoter in organic chemistry, especially in the preparation of 3,4-dihydropyrimidin-2(1H)-one derivatives through the Biginelli reaction in ethylene glycol. The controlled impurity levels of chloride, ammonium and iron make it suitable for high-end laboratory applications, where reaction reproducibility is important. The high assay value gives reliable acidic strength, resulting in reproducible synthesis and analytical applications.
