    Sodium Tauroglycocholate is a bile acid salt and an ionic detergent and used as a selective inhibitory agent for bacteriological Culture Media. It interferes with the growth and incorporation of glucose into various cellular fractions and inhibits flagellum formation in gram-negative bacteria. It is white colour free flowing powder sparingly soluble in water and alcohol.
